Reflection

What have I learned so far?
I have learned to use basic processing. For example, variables, loops, colour, shapes etc. Although all needs improvement.

What helped and motivated me to learn?
The frustration of not knowing how to achieve something. Also the tutors explanations and online tutorials helped me with issues.

Is there anything that you want to improve on in your next project?
Definitely improving on my processing skills would help me a lot and give me more time to work on the design outcome instead of spending so much time learning. Also time management. Although I did get my work on in time I feel if I had spend my time better I could have developed my ideas more.

Set yourself a goal and plan how you will achieve it.
Become confident in processing. This will come with practice and willing to learn more complex stuff.
Manage my time better so I have more time for development.

I am having issues with uploading as the actual sketch does not appear so I have doubled up on one of them but all the codes for my finals are linked above.

Final Patterns

These are my final wallpapers. I decided to go with the black and white/ gray scale colour theme as I think that it had a stronger effect. It is interesting how this colour theme detracts away from my original inspiration of a water ripple. The focus is now on the geometric patterning that the circles create.

This one is a lot less simple than my previous patterns. Just playing around with gray scale.

In this one I have focused on the geometric patterns of the circles.
I have changed my first image like this too gray scale. This changes it a lot. The aspect of a water ripple is sort of lost but I like the way it becomes more abstract.
I have altered my original image by squashing the circles slightly to create a feeling of a different perspective. I have also played with gray scale on this one.

This image inspired me to experiment with just gray scale. The amount of 'ripples' is also very effective here as well as the strong contrast.
